Welcome to our website highlighting our condo #102 at the St. Simons Grand, located on the coast in the Golden Isles of southeast Georgia. It also contains links to attractions, restaurants, and activities we recommend. Although we live in St. Louis, Missouri, our daughter, who graduated from the University of Georgia, introduced us to this lovely island. Even after numerous visits over the course of several years, we still find new things to enjoy each time we visit. Separated from the mainland by the Torras Causeway, St. Simons Island is one of the islands that make up the Golden Isles of Georgia. It is located about midway between Savannah, Georgia to the north and Jacksonville, Florida to the south. Unlike many resort communities, St. Simons and the surrounding areas have a strong connection to our country’s past as seen in battle sites, historic forts, plantations, and lighthouses. In addition to the miles of beaches one might expect, the Golden Isles include a wide variety of ways to enjoy other aspects of nature such as live oaks, marshes, birds and sea turtles.
